Journal Starter for Page 60's assigment

Problem- Two of your friends do not get along and you want them to be friends.

Well to analyze this let's break it down:
Let's first look at the Contributing Factors:
  • Maybe they don't like each other because they are jealous of the other's time with you.
  • Maybe they're of the opposite sex and one of them likes you, and can't stand seeing you with the other person.
  • Maybe they want to impress with.
  • Maybe they just simply don't like this person because they annoy them.

What's some evidence that they hate each other?:

  • They are constantly bickering over the stupidest little things.
  • One tries to steal all of your attention constantly.
  • When the other one's around they try to distract you.
  • One sits in the corner depresses when the others around or just is really silent.
  • They tell you directly that they don't like the person.

So, now you're in this big dilemna and how are you suppose to solve it?:

  • Well, trust me, I've been in your predicament many a times before. And I know how much it sucks! It's a lose-lose situation no matter how you look at it, but you could also see it as win-win. Then, something or someone else is getting their wish somewhere.
  • I see this as two options: Sit them down and try to settle this underlying, or maybe it's already out in the open, dispute and try to talk it out. Hearing BOTH sides of the story and telling each that they're being childish when a simple solution is to share. And if they can't handle that, then maybe they need a reality check that you can't have it all.
  • The other way to settle this is to pick which one is a better friend and stick with them til the end. Choose by which one you trust the most. But this is only a drastic situation that I would do this option in. Always try to solve things the best way you can.
  • And there's always the option of ignoring both until they either are force to share something in common, therefore possibly liking each other by relation. Or say you like all or none. You will not choose sides.

Good luck to whoever reads this and has this problem. I hope things turn out for the better. :) God Bless!
